Cooling Tower Motors - Learn more about Cooling Tower Motors

Important parameters of cooling tower motor:
1. Rated voltage: my country's power consumption is 380V, and foreign users need to recheck according to local power parameters.
2. Power frequency: my country is 50HZ, and some foreign users are 60HZ or other. The recommended frequency setting parameter of cooling tower is 30-50HZ, otherwise it is easy to cause motor overheating or insufficient cooling efficiency of cooling tower.
3. Motor speed: The calculation method is as follows n=60f/p, where nn represents the speed, ff represents the frequency, and pp represents the number of pole pairs of the motor. For example: the power frequency speed of a 10-level motor (the number of level pairs is 5) is 60*50/5=600 rpm.
4. Efficiency: reflects the energy efficiency level of the motor.
5. Protection level: For example, IP55 means dustproof level 5 and waterproof level 5 (refer to the comparison table for the shell protection level). Cooling towers generally use the shell protection level of IP55.
6. Rated temperature rise: reflects the temperature resistance level of the motor. The cooling tower generally uses a Class B temperature rise (130°C) motor.
7. Insulation level: reflects the temperature resistance of the insulation material inside the motor. The cooling tower generally uses a Class F (155°C) motor.
Here we only list the basic knowledge about the cooling tower waterproof motor that users need to know.
